This is an ongoing series of illustrations inspired by Prefab Sprout's I Trawl the Megahertz, the favorite song of my dad and I. I Trawl the Megahertz is 22 minutes long, with a beautiful, haunting, cinematic melody and a poetic and dreamy monologue. When Paddy McAloon was recovering from an eyesurgey, he was only able to listen to the radio. As a result, he wrote this monolgue, which is a tapestry of fragments from radioshows. The text continues to inspire me and I can't wait to expand this series.
